I first went to see Sarah when suffering from Carpal Tunnel Syndrome following pregnancy. Sarah has totally understood the demands my current lifestyle of being a busy Mum and going back to running has on my body. Sarah got straight to the cause of the problem which was actually more my back and shoulder than wrist and really relieved the numbness. I now see her with any recurring tenseness or running niggles and always come away feeling relaxed and better prepared to stretch and look after myself! Sarah is always very accommodating of my children and understanding with her appointment times. I thoroughly recommend her as an osteopath!Mrs EvansTeacher & Mum
Low back pain can be an occupational problem for dental surgeons due to poor postural position. Whilst correct seating can remedy the situation, gentle and caring therapy from a sympathetic osteopath can bring great relief to muscles forced to adopt an unnatural habit. Caring involves treating the whole person, and this rare skill is self evident with Sarah Gordon, and I have no hesitation in recommending her.Mike BrownDental Surgeon
Given the nature of my job as a hairdresser I often suffer from a bad back or neck. When I came to Sarah for treatment it was clear she knew exactly what she was doing.
I found her extremely knowledgeable and professional, and not only did she solve the problem with treatment, she offered fantastic advice on how to help prevent the problems recurring. I have since taken my son for treatment and have always been thoroughly impressed with the results.Caroline BroadbentMum
Harrogate Osteopaths, and Sarah in particular, came to me by personal recommendation. The range of treatment available seemed to provide the perfect remedy to ‘back problems’ caused by a combination of too much time on a motorbike (not sure if that’s possible), too much time spent in the garden (that definitely is) and the general effects of age, and through still trying to do all the things you used to do when you were of the right age and/or still capable. The facilities at Pannal Surgery, Sarah’s assessment and recommendations, and the subsequent treatment I received, were all excellent.William KayManaging Director
‘I really can’t speak highly enough of Sarah Gordon of Harrogate Osteopaths.
Having overdone it on the exercise front, I had been suffering for several weeks from severe pain in my lower back and left leg. I couldn’t walk easily, sit comfortably through a meal or even look after my children properly. I was in constant pain and thoroughly exhausted through lack of sleep. My doctor had prescribed painkillers but these were having little effect, so when a friend recommended I visit Harrogate Osteopaths I was willing to try anything. Sarah took time to ask me questions about my symptoms and to carefully examine the areas of extreme pain. Within minutes, Sarah had identified a disc injury in the lower region of my back and had begun to manipulate my spine to relieve pressure on the damaged areas. The relief I felt was instantaneous, both physically and in knowing that I had received a proper diagnosis for my pain. I subsequently returned to my doctor for medication and a referral to hospital but continued to visit Harrogate Osteopaths to relieve my painful symptoms during my treatment. I have since recommended Harrogate Osteopaths to family and friends and will continue to do so!Kathy Abbs Office Worker
I first saw Sarah around 2 years ago when I was struggling with stress and I felt like my head was “fuzzy”, I felt dizzy and disorientated, my eyes hurt and I was getting lots of headaches. I felt like I was going a bit crazy. On a recommendation I went to see Sarah, who said that I was tense in the shoulders and so the flow of blood to my head was restricted. After my first consultation I felt like I was coming round from an anaesthetic, I went home and slept for a few hours. After that my head felt so clear and free. I went again the following week, and after 2 trips to see Sarah I felt like a different person. I couldn’t believe how much happier and clearer my mind felt, the headaches and dizzy spells had gone, I didn’t have to squint to see and I felt like my old self again. I can’t thank Sarah enough for releasing the pressure I had been feeling. I now go a few times a year, or when even I am feeling any of the symptoms, and I have never had a recurrence of the problem since.Helen Mercer-JonesOffice Worker
I just wanted to say thanks for whatever you did for my neck – as well as feeling better it seems to have cured my Sunday headaches. I’ll be sure to keep doing the neck stretches.John RoweOffice Worker
After four appointments my symptoms have lifted and for the first time since my injury over a year ago I feel like myself again.Victoria Smith-Dunn

After having seen several osteopaths I ended up at Sarah Gordon’s practice. Sarah is the kind of person who really listened to what I had to say and would adjust treatment to what benefitted me most. She was the only person to suggest cranial osteopathy. It helped enormously.Sonia Memelink Jeweller
Sarah made me feel as if nothing would make her happier than to solve the long-standing problems I had with my neck. I don’t know who was more pleased when she did, her or me.Colleen SimpsonJournalist
Since seeing Sarah Gordon I am now pain free, only needing maintenance treatments from time to time. I found Sarah a friendly and highly skilled practitioner.Gillian AmblerChiropodist
Thank you again for helping with my daughter’s hearing problem. I can’t stress how relieved and happy I am that we came to see you. I will obviously recommend you to everyone I know.Katja GottschalkPC Technician
When my son Noah was born we struggled to get him comfortable laid on his back. He would scream and cry unless we propped him up or laid him on his tummy. At 3 weeks old we took him to see Sarah, she did some gentle work on his neck & spine and he has been happy on his back ever since. I only wish I’d known about Sarah when I had my first child. Being born can be traumatic for our babies as well as us mums.Caroline BroadbentMum & Baby
To me, your assessment and explanation of my shoulder problems were all part of the excellent treatment. Problem now solved. Many thanks.Tony Armitage Accountant
